Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and SOSA PROJECTS, LLC ("Stucky", "we", "us") for the Stucky app, the brand dashboard and this website. By creating an account or using Stucky you agree to them and to our privacy policy.

Who can use Stucky

Student accounts are for people enrolled at a participating US college or university who can sign in with that school's email address. Campuses open in stages, so signing up may put you on a waitlist rather than give you campaigns right away. You must give us accurate information and keep your account to yourself.

How placements work

• You apply to a brand's campaign with a photo of your laptop lid and your profile. The brand decides whether to approve you.
• If you are approved, a sticker is mailed to the address you gave us. You put it on the laptop you told us about and activate it with a photo in the app.
• Each week you take a photo of the sticker on your lid in the app during your check-in window, on campus. We check the location and time, and a person on our team reviews the photo.
• A verified week earns at the rate the campaign showed when you applied. A missed or failed week earns nothing for that week, and repeated missed weeks can pause or end a placement.
• You can end a placement at any time. Payments for that placement stop when you do.

Your check-in photos

Every check-in photo must be a new photo, taken in the app, of your own laptop with the sticker on it. Do not submit edited, staged or someone else's photos, and do not share your account. We may flag a check-in, ask for a retake, withhold credit for a week or close an account when we believe these rules were broken. You can appeal a flag in the app.

You keep the rights to your photos. You let us store and review them, and show them to the brand whose sticker they show, for running and reporting on that campaign.

Payouts

Payouts are made in US dollars through Stripe Connect. To get paid you set up a Stripe account and agree to Stripe's terms, including theStripe Connected Account Agreement. Stripe may ask you to verify your identity and tax details. Eligible earnings are paid out each month. An instant payout, where offered, has a fee that is shown before you confirm it. You are responsible for any taxes on what you earn.

If a payment is made in error, or a week is later found not to qualify, we may correct your balance.

Brands

Brands use the dashboard to run campaigns, review applications and see placement reporting. Campaign pricing, scope and reporting are agreed with each brand before launch, and those agreed terms apply alongside these. Brands may use student information only to run their Stucky campaigns, and may use a student's shipping address only to send that student's sticker.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Stucky. That includes trying to get paid for placements you did not run, faking location or photos, interfering with the service or other people's accounts, or using it to break the law.

Ending your account

You can stop using Stucky at any time, and ask us to delete your account as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Earned balances that are not in dispute are still paid out.

Disclaimers

Stucky is provided as is. We do not promise that any campaign will be available at your campus, that a brand will approve you, or that the service will always be available or free of errors. Stickers are made to peel off cleanly, but we are not responsible for damage to your laptop from applying or removing one.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Stucky is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount we paid you, or you paid us, in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

If we change these terms we will update this page and its effective date. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies. Continuing to use Stucky after that means you accept the new terms.
